Second one was legit. 20-30 years from now, when historians are analyzing the reasons why the GOP became a permanent minority party or ceased to exist, the foolish GOP senators who voted to save him will be deemed the fools who killed their party. It was an incredibly foolish and horrible decision by McConnell and the others to not vote to convict.

The country needed to be rid of him, he gave them a golden opportunity to get rid of him, and they were cowards and wouldn’t do so
