this year his first game as OC for Mizzou:
At Fresno State last year, with Kirby Moore calling plays on their opening game, they beat Cal-Poly 35-7
Jake Haener threw 42 passes. He went 36/42 for 377 yards, 2 TDs, no INT. The team also ran for 172 yards.
Kirby Moore called at least 42 pass plays.
Last night, Kirby Moore at Mizzou called around 26 pass plays. Cook was 17/21 and Horn 3/5 for a combined 226 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. And the team ran for 211 yards.
Note: Haener was drafted in the 4th round.
42 pass plays vs 26 pass plays.....
42 vs 26
377 pass yards vs 226 pass yards.
For reference: In the 2022 home opener vs LA Tech, Mizzou threw 30 times for only 235 yards.
Who is really directing the offensive game plan?
Additionally here are how many pass plays were called for each Mizzou game last year:
LA Tech: 30
k-State: 31
Abilene Christian: 31
Auburn: 24
Georgia: 32
Florida: 30
Vanderbilt: 25
South Carolina: 26
Kentucky: 27
Tennessee: 34
New Mexico St: 31
Arkansas: 26
Mizzou was throwing the ball about 25-30 times a game last year.
Fresno State (when Haener was healthy) they were throwing the ball 30 to 45 times a game
