To raise hopes, and likely enough to be true.
But we don't know who is in possession of the tapes, whether that person or persons can be purchased by democrats, threatened by unions, or cowed into silence by the media.
I wouldn't trust Republicans to handle a one car parade let alone release this appropriately and properly.
In my opinion, there is overwhelming evidence to put old Joe in the old folks home for corrupt politicians right now.
But we must remember that Republicans need overwhelming proof, not overwhelming evidence before they're even allowed to discuss the possibility of legal action. They must prove the case before the trial.
Democrats only need, the hint of evidence, manufactured evidence will suffice, a phone call to Ukraine or a phony dossier for example, to impeach the president of the United States.
Different standards of behavior, different burdens of proof.
