the issue is this. somebody shows up at the border and says
"I want asylum". They say fine, give them a date years in advance to show up in court to adjudicate the case.
They should be held and adjudicated in an expeditious manner, but due to lack of resources they are not.
What you singers and dancers can not understand is that unless the US is willing to way up the ante on border resources, this tide will continue. And no resources does not mean throwing up a useless, counterproductive barrier.
