because your QB isn't accurate down the field or your line won't hold. Receivers need space to get open. What we were always seeing was not lack of play calling imagination, it's lack of an effective D1 quarterback and an OL that sucked. You think the receiver room was happy running ten yard routes all the time? I think not.
