Social media loves to make heroes and villains.

How is Desantis in the position he is in. Did he go out and take it, or did the media do it for him?

Why do some events make national headlines, while others do not, when they are very similar events?

Mostly, headlines are generated by hate, not like. MR is a much more hatable character than Alex, so that perception turns into reality in many ways, IMO. She certainly also represents more issues to hate on as well.
