if indeed they really ever were about education.

Look at efforts to reduce the math requirements where the timeline of taking classes makes it almost impossible to get to calculus by the senior year.

And some of these efforts are being done in the name of equity, which is a vile concept to make everyone the same.

Race, sexual orientation and desire to accommodate everyone's personal demand, framed in "rights" (while trampling on others "rights") reeks of authoritarianism.

Start young, train early and play the long game. You'll get the population you can control eventually.
