plus Crean was a decent coach who didn't squander the talent.

(2) Mizzou's 2018 team, even without MPJ, had enough talent to reach the Final Four. IIRC, we *barely* lost to a Florida State team that *barely* lost to a John Beilein-coached Michigan team in the Elite 8 (i.e. before the program was ruined by Juwan Howard).
