Recruiting is part of coaching. It is better to find athletic kids that totally buy into your program then the self centered ones that just look at themselves and the money. One of the reason that Mizzou looses recruits from the state is because they do not believe in the program. There are just a few of us that do and I don't live there anymore. I also think that Drink's recruiting processes are different Pinkle used to have Andy Hill cover the KC area. I think that the position coach covers the position that they coach. So there is not that relationship that develops. Andy used to come and see us even when we didn't have any prospects. Remember Jason Johnson that played for Kansas State, he was a tight end out of Liberty High school and was neve offered by Mizzou until the very end. They didn't see his value. I can give various examples.
