They have a head coach and assistants hired now, plus 6 recruits from the 2024 class, all who will redshirt next year. So they will field a team in 2025 with those redshirts plus some players from the 2025 freshman class plus of course some portal transfers.

Will be interesting to watch how quickly (or not) they become competitive with starting up a team from scratch in the SEC. Of course by then Texas will be in this conference, and the new standard for the current SEC heavyweights like Kentucky and Florida to measure up to.
