If the green energy types were serious about things - and to their credit some are - they would be screaming for a full-on sprint towards nuclear energy power plant production.
Which would have the added benefit of not having to consider energy costs as much in playing the geopolitical game.
Currently electric cars are coal powered cars, for the most part.
