Trump and other elected officials, is that other elected officials must make them all the time in order to advance to the next rung on the ladder.

Trump started at the top rung of the latter. No political debts to pay, no record of votes in Congress, and no payoffs from interest groups. He makes political decisions much less than others, and is much much much more candid and straightforward than other elected officials.

But there is a disease in the swamp that often turns the best meaning men and women into Adam Schiff – like vermin.

Four years away from that may have been the best thing for him.
