school system and their parents are too ignorant and dumb to advise them differently. Kids are going to do what the adults they trust advise them to do. The problem is not their decision, but the options presented to them. Guaranteed government loans should never be one of them and the guidance counselors should be on the hook to pay them back when the student cannot.
