They were not closed. The actual story is that mango found out he personally had to foot the bill for non-state dinners like this one. He literally could have ordered food from ANY restaurant or simply paid for the WH staff to prepare the meal. He instead chose the cheapest option possible and spun it off as maga patriotism, which you morans believed.
