The teams in the weakest conferences usually spend the beginning of the season getting destroyed by big conference teams they have very little chance to beat. It's just the way college baseball scheduling works. Reading too much into the start of the covid year is silly. Arguing that Jackson wasn't successful at Southern is dumb. He clearly was.
