Especially on property. Financially prohibits the development of land into subdivisions, steering developers to build apartments, which caps housing inventory driving prices up in a growing area.

Then the apartment developer recoups costs by charging sky high rents to young people who can't save to buy the houses, leaving them poorer. But they continue to vote for politicians who want to raise taxes perpetuating the vicious circle
