You can keep speculating that they will, but the question is:
Assuming that reports are correct, and ESPN is refusing to give the SEC more money, how will the league's revenue increase?
In fact, it would decrease.
Also, ESPN would have fewer SEC games to broadcast. That's probably why they aren't gung-ho about doling out more money to the SEC, even if they weren't having major financial issues.
