(2) Their boosters are more willing to bend and break the rules. (As I've said before, Mizzou has always been behind the curve in "gray areas" like this, erring on the side of caution when it comes to compliance.)
(3) Most SEC schools, like Ole Miss, don't give a fvck. They never have. They've been cheating for years, and now they feel empowered to bribe players out in the open since the "NIL" rules aren't being properly enforced.
(4) Beard strikes me as the type of coach who can take advantage of the kind of boosters that school like Ole Miss would have. The same with Musselman at Arkansas.
I could go on, but you get the point... This issue is more complex and nuanced than most people realize. This isn't the "gotcha" you seem to think it is.
