They don't want to be in a conference with BYU, UCF, and Cincinnati... they think it's beneath them.
Obviously, they're never getting in the B1G or SEC, which at this point would only expand for top 20 brands like UNC, UVA, and (maybe) Oregon/Washington at a discount.
