I was drafted in 1971---went to VN in mid 1972 for the bombing the NV to the Paris Peace talks with B-52s ---we sent encrypted messages as to the results to ships offshore using computers before they existing in the public domain--and got out in Jan 1973. They ended the draft in like 1972 but as a reservist called back to help with the withdrawal of our top secret crypto equipment from Saigon in 1975. I was back in law school at Mizzou and declined. lol Why should I go twice when others had never gone once. Got my DD-214 in 1977 so no harm no foul
