Fun story Clapton told of his feeling a bit under the weather back stage in Miami and didn't want to go on. His manager said, fine - you'll be ok, boy, you'll be OK "And suddenly Townshend bursts in and says 'you call this show business'" and he and Eric went out and tore it up.
