Willie and I are the same age. Had season tickets all through college - Mizzou had first come / first serve seating arrangement back then - they would open the doors an hour and a half before game time and kids would flock /sprint to the best seats in the Hearnes Center. I was always front and center right on the court.

Willie Smith, Jeff Currie, Jim Kennedy, Kim Anderson, freshman Stan Ray in the middle with James Clabon coming off the bench.

I didn’t say Tamar Bates was Willie Smith - I said his left handed stroke from deep reminded me of Willie Smith’ s smooth left handed stroke from deep.
