I was #97 in 1971---turned down AF before being drafted

Flight training to fly F-4s ( 6 yrs 4 mos commitment)

Offered Navy OCS in 7th week of Army Basic (3 rs 4 mos). By then knew I hated the military so passed

Day I was drafted had us count off by 3s and 2s were Marines (yes--they drafted Marines in 1971). We could trade but I passed
