Yes, Tik Tok's Chinese ownership is a problem but the root cause is the massive amount of private data that companies can harvest about you without your knowledge. Forcing Tik Tok to sell does nothing to address the root cause of the issue which is these companies that have tons of data on you and can do anything with it that they please. But congress won't do anything about it because Google/Facebook/Amazon and all the others spend way to much in lobbying and donations to allow that to happen.

And on a side note, the guy is a really good follow. He's not hyper-partisan and does a great of explaining the intricacies of what's going on in congress and some of the behind-the-scenes stuff.
