Adams referenced a bible verse where it says slaves are to obey their masters. In those days race wasn't involved. Anyone who owed money to someone could become their slave in order to pay it off. Our culture has allowed the word "slave" to immediately refer to someone who is black. Sad times indeed. I admire and respect Coach Adams for not apologizing when he quoted scripture. He stands for what he believes!
