Specific to NIL, my answer would be Albert White. He was the Big 12 POY as a junior and became the only Tiger to lead the team in points, rebounds, and assists in the same season. But left early with no real shot at the NBA and went overseas to make money because he had kids he had to support. And then that first season after he left we were an at large big to the NCAA tourney but with a huge hole in the power forward slot he vacated using the combo of Jeff Hafer and Johnie Parker instead of what would have been a senior Albert White.
