the fact our students took a generic song and added in a component of old Mizzou tradition (hating ku) is a good thing

It is up to the team to not get shellacked by ku, but the students are not wrong to chant it

remember folks, ku students wear "Muck Fizzou" shirts and wave John Brown posters at us when we play there, the obsession is still mutual and that is fine

but Gates needs to learn the Norm Stewart way and start putting extra practice time and preparation into that game annually. He approached the prep "just like any other game" this year because he was still building the program identity.

fair enough, but from now on he needs to make the importance of the ku game part of that identity and openly flaunt to the fans and public that he spends more practice time and film time on it than any other game. It's totally fine and warranted. To say otherwise is to delude ourselves about who the Mizzou fanbase is and what we care about.
