holds that opinion. But shooting it down is not the only way you let China (or other country) that they better knock it off or else there will be problems.

Our government knows what this balloon is and have said as much. I'd bet a whole lot of money they knew what it was well before it got anywhere near our air space. If it was any sort of risk it would never have made it to our airspace and the public never would have heard about it.

Just because our government isn't acting belligerently angry in public doesn't mean the private conversations with China haven't been that way.
