I do wonder if they would do any better merged and do some teams not make the cut?

I think the Big XII has shown with their new media deal, they are viable without the Pac 12 schools. I would guess that the Pac 12 could make a slightly smaller media deal than the Big XII and still add SDSU and another school.

Obviously, all bets are off if more of the Pac-12 goes to the Big 10.
