good Christians out there doing great things for people in need. Whether that's overseas or locally in their communities. But those things are also done not in the name of religion by the non-religious.
Overall, however, a lot of people are tired of the judgment, tired of the special tax treatment, tired of the fire and brimstone, tired of the lack of progressive development, tired of the lack of outdated principles (i.e. the Vatican still preaching no birth control).
The downward trend for church attendance in America follows a larger downward trend in belief in Christianity in America. I don't see that reversing itself.
