DC Is clearly broken and needs major fixing

But anyone who claims the two parties are exactly alike are simply being disingenuous or are incapable of having any depth of thought. Likewise, voting for one of the only two candidates who have a chance to win is not going to magically make things far better. In fact, it may only slow the rate of decay. But if those are the only two choices that can be made at this point in time, please explain why slowing the rate of decay is not clearly better than accelerating it? If you have an infection in your arm threatening your entire arm, and you can do something now that may not save your hand but would possibly save the remaining arm, would you not do it?
It took a long time to get here. It will take a while to chart a course out (if that is even possible.) But one thing is sure. Disingenuous and shallow arguments will add nothing positive to the path forward.
