The deep state which includes the media, doesn't want whispering joe to run again. So they are not really losing anything here. Dumping the dummy is an addition by subtraction.
And they can screech about being the principled party to make it difficult for republicans to support trump; and if trump doesn't run, the sanctimonious hypocrites in the D party will proudly signal their virtue and morality saying how THEY are the party who were bold and righteous enough to condemn the actions of their own guy.

The dangerous game the deep state is playing of course is that this is SO MUCH MORE than documents. It is the great white hunter claiming he owns whispering joe's house. It is biden family corruption with china, russia, ukraine and a couple stans.
And of course biden's corruption occurred in spades when he was bronco's veep. Zeus knew about it, duh.
They have to go right up to the line and destroy or at least eliminate biden as presidential candidate in 2024. They can throw him and his corrupt family under the bus. He was a place holder and is no longer needed.
But obama is not to be touched.
I suspect the republicans will assist and agree not to take any investigations into bronco's presidency. Zeus is an icon and means so much to black people and karens. Telling the truth about him would be racist and treasonous.
Rs will fold like a cheap suit and the country will get nothing in return except maybe some stock "tips" or other ill gotten gains in republicans' off shore bank accounts.
