Cart him off the field and play ball. That's the way it works. Several teams have had to finish games after very serious and horrific injuries, from spinal injuries to severely broken bones:

Why was this so different? I wasn't watching Monday night, so I didn't hear the broadcast and didn't follow any of the nonsense on social media. But it sounds like people are coming to the realization this game not being completed was mostly due to 2022 virtue signaling and not any rational thought process.
