Michael Cade (Olathe Duffield murders) was on his way from visiting a south JOCO strip club when his buddy just wanted to go home instead of looking for some fun.
He was drunk, stoned, and chose a duplex to break into because it didn't have a fenced yard so he realized they probably didn't have a dog.
Sliding patio door had a broken lock, so he went on in, assessed the situation, went back to his truck and got a mason's hammer he and his buddy had found alongside the road when they pulled off to take a leak.
Returned inside, bludgeoned son sleeping on the couch, daughter sleeping in bedroom, and abducted another daughter and took her to Frisco Lake Park to rape and kill her (and toss her body into the spillway--she was still alive but had also been bludgeoned).
Totally random victims.
