As of this point, DeSantis is showing remarkable discipline and focus. He is taking care of issues in his state, he is speaking to larger issues, and he is not taking any of the bait Trump throws out.
Trump's lifeblood is the alleyway brawling when people begin firing back. He is very good at that. He takes the oxygen his opponents provide and runs with it. As of this point, DeSantis won't bite. And that is working well for him.
