and if one party is unwilling to give up a piece, then you've got to decide whether to move forward and get something, or stand pat and get nothing. I'm glad she got brought home - her incarceration was a farce, but she should have known that she was putting herself in that position in the first place. I'd rather that it was the ex-Marine, but if the Russians weren't willing to make the deal, then you have a choice to make. I don't think the government preferred her over him (the way some will think) but they took what they could get.
