and say "Look, we got inflation under control" the GOP needs to have an answer.

Yes, the CPI is up 7.7% over Oct '21, but only .5% over the last 4 months.

Yes, gas will STILL be over $3.00/gal and prices will NOT DEFLATE, but the DEMS will be able to make the claim THEY brought inflation under control.

BTW, like Pickle says, CPI price increases are NOT inflation, that's inflation PLUS capitalistic market place combined.

Folks were flush with cash thanks to gov't giveaways, supply chain was broken thanks to gov't giveaways (why work when I can get cash from Sam), gas prices jumped thanks to lack of processing ability / higher demand / Gov't policies punishing fossil fuels.

But the voter has a short memory, inflation will be lower, likely below 3%, and DEMs will take credit.

Now, the FED and their rate hikes need to STOP or real damage to the economy could begin to happen
