Someone refresh my memory

Didn't a recent administration end the decades long sanctions against Iran and returned billions (trillions?) of dollars to them? Which administration was that?

And then didn't someone else take back that deal and start to treat Iran harshly because of the way they treat their citizens and that they have intention of getting along nicely with the rest of the world?

And then didn't someone else come along and start treating them nicely again and remove all the sanctions against them because he needed their oil as a result of him shutting down all domestic production of oil?

My memory can be fuzzy sometimes, but it sure seems like the Presidents from one party sure seem to be propping up the Iranian regime and the other party sure tries to treat them as they deserve to be treated.

The (un)funny thing about the whole thing is that parties voters (liberal women) sure seem to be against the way the regime treats women, but they unanimously support the party that keeps trying to prop up the regime. Talk about voting against your own interests.
