His recent actions with respect to high end semiconductor chips and China is nothing short of mafia action.
And for those of you who don't really know about China...
There is currently a perfect storm of **** about to hit them...
1. Real Estate Market Collapse
2. Demography Collapse - one child policy
3. No Longer Wage Competitive - China no longer can suppress wages to the point where it makes sense for foreign companies to manufacture there. Some jobs are coming back here, some are going to other points in Asia, some are going to Mexico. This is a problem for China because only about 10% of its population can afford products it makes. 90% of Chinese live on $3 / day or less. Abject poverty.
4. China's COVID Policy: The zero case policy is a result of their failed vaccine. When COVID broke out, they decided to create their own vaccine, which is a useless POS. So very few Chinese got vaccine immunity and because of that coupled with their zero case policy, hardly any Chinese have natural antibodies. So their policy is not just about controlling the populace....they deem it as necessary because from a COVID standpoint, they are still in 2020.
Biden essentially has decided to hit the Chinese where it hurts, with the high end chip ban, at the best time for America and that's while China has all of the above problems hitting at once.
Now, China wants Taiwan so bad because Taiwan makes the high end chips. China cannot make them. They import the chips and put their own software on them. With Biden's ban, they can only import chips already in products and then reconfigure them for a new product. Think of a satellite chip being taken out, new software put on to be added to a guided missile. NOT GOOD.
I'm not suggesting China is dead, but when you look at the big picture, they are strong because of their exporting power. But that is only a strength because the world allows it to be. Take that away and China is hurting big time. You take away the export markets for their products and who is going to buy them? No one in China can afford their laptops or high end electronics. Or vehicles.
Oh and by the way, China is a huge country but the land is ****. Most of the agricultural land China has is good enough for subsistence level farming but they don't have a breadbasket like we do in America (the heartland) or a Central Velley California.
