Taken back by Ukraine from Russia. Ukraine had been destroying Russian troops as they closed in, having cut Russian supplies and munitions lines. The remaining Russian troops ran hard across the Knieper river as Ukraine bombarded them with artillery including HIMARS. Expect Ukraine to continue to bombard supply lines and ammo dumps in Crimea. Some Russian regular soldiers have taken off their uniforms, pretending to be Ukrainians and acting as moles once again as they had done in eastern Ukrainian towns. I expect they'll be rooted out fairly quickly by Ukrainian troops.
Kherson was one of the areas that Russia allegedly annexed just weeks ago, and it was the only major city Russia had successfully taken. Now they hold none.
The Ukrainian flag flies there again.
