I think the election went well (for R's) for 3 reasons....

(1) Looks like R's will gain control of the House at a minimum, thus being able to investigate Dems and block Biden's "American Last" agenda.
(2) It's a wakeup call to R's that their hardline stance on abortion is unsustainable, and that they need to pivot to something more moderate (e.g. a 20-week window at the federal level, then states can extend it if they want to).
(3) It effectively ended Trump's 2024 hopes. With DeSantis outperforming *everyone* last night, there is a rapidly growing consensus that he should be the GOP nominee.
