This extension gives Eli legit reasons to sell recruits on his stability as head coach. That’s where you win games (players).
You need someone to work the portal, work the NIL program, and work nationwide recruiting. Eli can do all these things well.
A two year extension adds peanuts to any potential need for a buyout. I don’t think there will be a need for that anyway.
