Along with the insatiable appetite to potentially link this nutjob to Trump, Republicans and therefore cast moderate republicans in the same light as this lunatic leads many not completely aligned with The Left to question some things. Making the leap that this guy is somehow Paul Pelosi's lover given what little is known so far is a huge stretch that I think is ridiculous at this point.
However, given how the MSM immediately jumped to false conclusions regarding the kid from Kentucky in DC, and Jussie Smollett, can you blame the public for not lapping everything up as presented and questioning it? Should journalists do this themselves and not leave it to the public?
Of reasonable questions to be sorted out, I think are:
(1) Who opened the door if not Pelosi or DePape? Was the door busted in?
(2) What are the nature of DePape's injuries and how were they sustained?
(3) Is there video footage anywhere of this?
(4) What of the report that Pelosi, during a home invasion, somehow went to the bathroom, used his phone to call the cops, and somehow already knew the name of the intruder?
(5) Does DePape have a previous criminal history?
It is curious that DePape waits until the exact moment that cops are present to see it that he hits Pelosi in the head. Was there a conflict before the cops arrived?
