he should have stayed "nuetral" and just wanted to use Twitter for discussion and all of that. He should have been more moderator than anything else...not take sides. Once you take a side, you get both praised and attacked, and the topics follow you.

Maybe he could have had some discussions around topics, trying to take what he felt was the best of both sides, and to be different.
