an old friend. I live about 8 mins from the Plaza...maybe less. It took me 34 mins to get an Uber. 7 rides cancelled on me before finally a gal in a Tesla picked me up. As I was talking with her she said she rents her Tesla from Enterprise for $600 a week, and somehow she is still making enough money. She is also a part time teller at a small bank, and said the Uber gig paid more. $600 bucks a week seems crazy to me, but whatever. Anyway the ride was $9.95.

Had dinner then went to O'dowds for a night cap of some irish whiskey. Called an Uber to come back home...O'dowd's is next door to Gram and Dun so it is the exact same trip back home...only this time the Uber was $39.95. WTF? These Uber surges can eff right off. I decided to have another drink and wait to see if it would change. About 15 mins later I get the ride for $12.95. So saved $27...what a f*cking scam.
