they don't actively root for the team they call. That is exactly why i think Jack Buck was painful to listen to. He knew his stuff but he would actively root for the Cardinals. (and on numerous occasions state that he hoped injured players didn't play or come back in time against the cardinals) I don't need an announcer telling me who to root for. I do like announcers like when we had Kevin Harlan-he was a great announcer-he got excited at great plays, no matter who made the play, but you always knew he was there as a Mizzou announcer.
