Because I have it on good authority that they read my posts on Tigerboard to get a better understanding of the college game.....But can we agree we would be MUCH BETTER on offense if we did the following 5 things?
(1). When our running back rips off a nice run, DONβT GIVE THE BALL TO HIM AGAIN ON THE VERY NEXT PLAY. We do it just about every time, and it almost always results in a loss or no gain, putting us in 2nd and long. π³π³π³
(2). When weβre at midfield with 4th and short, GO FOR IT. This continually running out our play to draw the other side offsides hardly ever works. ππ
(3) Can we come up with SOMETHING, ANYTHING imaginative out of a time out? Seems like we save our worst play calls for the first play after a long TV commercial timeout. π¬π¬π¬
(4) More vertical less horizontal play calls. We seem to like sending runners with average speed on end arounds or slow developing horizontal plays that get blown up for losses. π€π€π€
(5) Try a naked bootleg by the QB every once in a while. Not a QB draw - which we seem to be in love with. Fake a handoff to the RB running one way and take off in the other direction. Itβs wide open. πππ
Perhaps Drink should sign me up as his offensive coordinator. I guarantee you we would score more points - and you might even see Sam Horn on the field. π
