needs to stay active to replenish the shortfall of funds to payout current retirees who have been paying into SS for decades. Find away around that issue and I'm all ears. But as I approach retirement, I would like to recover what I am entitled to out of the system. I have prepared for retirement and will be OK but most Americans unfortunately do not have much more than SS when they retire. We tend to spend everything we have (as mentioned in the OP).
