first off, your subject line is inaccurate. I agree with point a. The validity of your point b is based on flimsy evidence, but for the sake of discussion let's say it's partially true. So what? If there is a popular uprising that want's to overthrow a politician that is backed by a dictator why wouldn't the US support such an effort. One of the big mistakes, there were many, during the Obama administration was not supporting the popular uprising in Iran.
