a lot of kids want to get out of the state to go to college. I always wanted to go to Mizzou because I was raised a Tiger fan by my Dad and my older brother.
Now - if that wasn't the case, and I was ranked as a top tier football player that had multiple options to go away to someplace like Florida, Florida St., UCLA, USC, Texas, Bama, Clemson, etc... I'm probably going elsewhere.
Especially in the situation where we are with the portal. Why not go try someplace cool, and if it doesn't work out you can always come back to play at Mizzou.
The one thing that can really lock down the borders is NIL deals. Exhibit A: Luther Burden. No way he stays home without that deal.
